- It's easy to forget to "live" when you are caring for someone who has a disease that is slowly claiming their life. Learn to savor each minute of life. Good times can be enjoyed, even when caregiving is part of your life.
Caregivers must not quit "living" just because they are caregivers.
- It's okay to laugh when you are caring for someone with Alzheimer's (or
any other debilitating disease.) Humor is vital for caregivers.
- The best thing a caregiver can do is learn as much as possible about the
disease that has claimed their loved one.
- YOU are the most important part of your loved one's world. Caregivers
MUST take care of themselves.
